European Union to the State of Eritrea launched a transformative project to expand Liquid Petroleum Gas (LPG) storage and distribution, significantly improving energy access across the country. With funding from the ACP-EC Energy Facility, covering 50% of the 9.3 million Euro cost, the project built two massive LPG storage facilities in Massawa, increasing capacity by 80%. This initiative extended LPG distribution beyond Asmara to major towns, replacing traditional biomass fuels with cleaner, safer LPG. This video showcases the EU’s role in enhancing energy access, environmental conservation, and socio-economic progress in Eritrea.
